Michael Shield is a Managing Partner at Bedrock Capital Management, bringing over a decade of experience across finance, investment analysis, insurance, real estate finance, and enterprise technology. His background includes financial management and underwriting leadership at Liberty Mutual, real estate lending experience supporting FHA-backed transactions, and senior advisory roles at Amazon Web Services where he worked closely with founders and executive teams on growth, capital efficiency, and technology strategy.

He holds an MBA from the D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University, with concentrations in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Economics from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst.

At Bedrock, Michael focuses on firm operations, investment oversight, and disciplined capital stewardship, contributing a pragmatic, risk-aware perspective to the firm’s alternative investment framework serving U.S. small businesses.
